Unified communications systems utilize software to merge presence technologies, voicemail, e-mail, and phone networks into a single system. This supports and enhances internal relationships. Many companies, including Nortel, Microsoft, and Cisco, sell compatible communications systems.

As more and more companies recognize an integrated communications system that improves the industry, the increase in technical support, maintenance, and installation will increase. In addition, due to the increasing demand for communications professionals, the salaries of these professionals will also increase, despite the monthly salaries paid in other IT sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, configure, manage, and monitor integrated communication systems.
  • Define, configure, and set up IP addresses.
  • Installs related technologies and services like Verizon Centrex, jar, PRI / ISDN, SIP box, IP switch, switch, DNS, DHCP, TCP / IP, Ethernet connection.
  • Gather information to evaluate UC's performance to identify user needs and requirements.
  • Review system and equipment upgrade and installation UC systems and recommend the appropriate update.
  • Helps to test the success of new projects through the UC platform.
  • Work with other IT services and university staff to integrate UC systems and other qualified IT services on campus (eg e-mail, telephone management system ...)
  • Supports UC / voice requests; solves problems and finds solutions to UC / audio problems.
  • Keeps documents accurate and up to date.
  • Performs assigned tasks.
